Garden Pictures

The garden in The Old Rectory is still evolving - even after 180 years !!
There are two main areas under development……….

Our project in 2002 was to change the design of the walled garden.
Formal paths have been laid; the lawn removed and a new parterre garden has taken its place.
This is continuing to be developed……… as another 'new' project took over

In 2003 our project  was the old vegetable garden (approx 1/3 acre). 
It was somewhat neglected and in need of a complete make-over. 
A new orchard of more than 20 fruit trees was planted in January and April / May saw the planting of the new vineyard.  Over 100 vines were planted……..and we are expecting our first crop in 2006 - hopefully...
